Utility of Orissa, a leading Power Distribution Utility in the State of
Orissa having consumer strength of about 10 (Ten) lakh & staff
strength of more than 8000 and with an annual turn over around Rs.900
Crore invites applications from the eligible candidates for the following
categories of posts
CATEGORY – I: Manager
(IT) –Applications
Qualification:
The candidate must be a citizen of India having degree in any
discipline with 2 years Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science/ Masters
degree in Computer Applications/M Tech. in applied science/ Degree in
Computer Science.
Experience:
The candidate should be a mature, dynamic and well qualified
professional, with minimum 10 years of post qualification experience in
the relevant field, of which at least 5 years should be in a power
utility. Exposure to ERP environment will be an added advantage. The
person shall be responsible for Billing, CRM, Web based Applications,
Client Server etc.
Salary:
Negotiable and is not a constraint for the right candidate
Age:
The maximum age shall not exceed 45 years as on 1.03.2008
CATEGORY – II: Network
Administrator
Qualification:
The candidate must be a citizen of India having Degree in
Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 2 years Post- Graduate Diploma in
Computer Science/ MCA/ M Sc (Computer Application)
Experience:
The candidate should be a mature, dynamic and well qualified
professional with minimum 6 years of post qualification experience in the
areas of Networking in large scale Industry certified by CCNA
(CISCO-certified Network Associates) Preference shall be given to the
candidate having experience in Routing & Switching and Design/
Modifying/configuration of new establishment. The person shall be
responsible to manage Network environment/ Implementations, Administration
of LAN/WAN, Printers, PC Services etc.
Salary:

Age:
The maximum age shall not exceed 45 years as on 1.03.2008
CATEGORY – III: Database
Administrator
Qualification:
The candidate must be a citizen of India having Degree in
Engineering/ MCA/ M Sc (Computer Application)
Experience:
The candidate should be a dynamic and well-qualified professional
with minimum 6-8 years of post qualification experience.
Preference shall be given to the candidates having 2-3 years of
experience in Data Base Administration in relevant organization. The
candidate should have experience in monitoring,
Performance Tuning, Support and diagnostic tools, Back up ( Hot/Cold),
Disaster Recovery, SQL,
PL/SQL, Query Tuning, Optimization and
data load. Experience in clusters, Database Security, High
availability in large Environments, Oracle 9i RAC, 10G RAL, Grid control
would be added advantage.

Age:
The maximum age shall not exceed 45 years as on
1.03.2008
All the Positions are contractual in nature and shall
be for a
minimum period of 3years and extendable thereafter depending upon
performance.

name of the post applied for should be super-scribed on the top of the

The
Last Date of receipt of application is 19.03.2008. The applications
received after due date or in incomplete shape shall not be entertained.
The Management reserves the right to short list the number of applicants
in order of merit for selection/interview and also reserves the right to
accept/reject any application on the basis of prescribed criteria.
