SENIOR POSITIONS FOR CENTRAL ELECTRICITY SUPPLY UTILITY OF ORISSA (CESU)

The Central Electricity Supply Utility of Orissa (in short CESU) is serving nearly a third of the state with a consumer strength close to a million and potential for huge growth.  In exercise of power u/s 22 of the Electricity Act, 2003, the Orissa Electricity Regulatory Commission has formulated a Scheme for operation and management of the CESU.  The said Scheme has been in force since 8th September, 2006 amended from time to time.   Under the said Scheme the Utility is managed by a Management Board constituted by the Commission.  The CESU is on the look out for top level professionals such as Sr. General Manager (HR), Sr. General Manager (IT), General Manager Commercial who will provide leadership in respective functional areas.  All positions call for mature, dynamic and well qualified professionals, with proven track records with 15-20 years of experience in the relevant line of which at least 5 years should be in a senior management level in a large organization.

            The compensation package for all the positions is attractive and negotiable and will not be a constraint for the right candidates.  The tenure of appointment shall be for a minimum period of 3 years and extendable thereafter depending upon performance.  The maximum age limit for the candidates shall not exceed 55 years as on 1.9.2007.  The applications addressed to the Chief  Executive Officer, CESU should be sent through email and followed by hard copy to reach the CESU Office on or before 12.10.2007.  Short listed candidates may be called for personal interview.

SR. G.M (HUMAN RESOURCE)

To be responsible for developing policies and strategies to obtain the best performance from around 7,000 employees of the Company.  He will report to the Chief Executive Officer.  Will initiate and lead the process of management development and organizational change leading to a responsive organization with professional culture, capability and skills.  Will develop and implement welfare and industrial relations policies of the Company and steer negotiations with labour unions.  Must be an MBA with HR specialization or a Post Graduate qualification in Human Resources Management from a management Institute or repute.  Experience in managing organizational culture changes in large organizations will be a distinct advantage.

SR. G.M.(INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY)

Senior General Manager to head its Information Technology Division and build up a team of Software and I.T Professionals.  He will report to the Chief Executive Officer.

Minimum 15 years of experience out of which at least seven years as Project/ Team Leader in the Information Technology area handling large projects in Government/ Semi-Government/ Private Sector. Adequate experience in developmental work and Data base Administration in any reputed RDBMS such as Oracle etc, under UNIX and GUI environments.  Experience in functional areas like MIS, OLTP and financial Applications. Distributed Databases, Client Server Computing, E-mails and Networking of  Computers. A first Class Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Computer Engineering is essential.

G.M (COMMERCIAL)

            The person shall be responsible for metering, billing, collection, energy audit, and loss reduction of the utility.  The person should possess a degree in electrical engineering and MBA from a reputed university with previous experience in senior positions in commercial activities / operation of distribution utilities.  The person shall report to Chief Commercial Officer.
