lines for the purpose of distribution and/or
supply of electrical lines for the purpose of
distribution and/or supply of electrical energy
and associated substations, equipments, apparatus,
cables and wares. |
Presently CESCO is supplying electrical energy to about
9 lakhs of consumers in its area of operation spread
over the district of Puri, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Anugul,
Cuttack, Kendrapada, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal and part of
Jajpur. CESCO's distribution area covers 29,000 square
Km and provides electricity to about 1/3rd of the population
of the state. Presently CESCO has 19 Electrical distribution
Divisions, one MRT Division and one E & MR Division.
Five Electrical Circles are functioning under CESCO.
The CESCO has got 68 Sub-Divisions and 245 Electrical
Sections. The CESCO family consists of about 8330 employees.
One APDRP Circle and three APDRP Distribution Divisions
are also functioning to execute all the construction
works for system improvement financed by IBRD as a part
of power structure reforms in Orissa
